The necessity for employing severe disciplinary measures against defaulting Jewish communists is urged by the “Emess,” Moscow Yiddish Communist daily.
The paper charges that the class warfare is just as acute in the Jewish villages as in the non-Jewish villages, and that the Jews use the same means to combat the Soviet state as the non-Jewish kulak.
The same sabotaging acts are employed against the state by Jewish farmers as by the non-Jews, it asserts.
As a case in point, the paper cites recent incidents in the Jewish regions in the Ukraine. In Kalinindorf bread was burned rather than given up to the government. In New Zlatapol Communists urged the collectives not to deliver the quotas and encouraged individual brigadiers to indulge in drunkedness, says the “Emess.”
For this reason it is necessary to combat the anti-Soviet Jewish farmers with the same severity as the non-Jews, says the paper.
