An Israeli sailing vessel with 11 crewmen aboard has been tossed aground on the Lebanese shore near Ras el Naquira after weathering a severe storm. Israel has formally demanded the return of the ship and crewmen, under the terms of an agreement between the two nations guaranteeing haven to each other’s vessels in emergencies. Lebanese authorities released the crew and said the vessel would be returned as soon as the weather permits.
