Shalom Ben-Baruch, (Schwartz) prominent journalist and author, died here today at the age of 78. He was one of the founders of the daily news paper, Haboker, and was editor of the Palestine Daily Bulletin, which was founded by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and which was the predecessor of the Jerusalem Post.
Born in Balta, Russia, Ben-Baruch emigrated to Israel in 1920. He served as editor of the General Zionist weekly Hed Yerushalayim. He was also correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in Jerusalem in the 1920’s. He was the author of many works including "The Arab Problem," "The Poetry of Tchernichovsky," "The Jewish Problem at the Peace Conference," "Herzl in his Diaries," and "Herzl in his Letters."
