Shalom Eshet, military adviser to Premier David Ben-Gurion during the War of Independence and, more recently, adviser on industries to the Histadrut, Israel’s labor federation, died here last night at the age of 52.
Born in Vienna, he was graduated at the Austrian Military College and served as an Austrian army officer before emigrating to Palestine in 1937. He attained the rank of major in the Jewish Brigade.
