The Bobruisk District Committee voted to discharge the secretary of the local Communist party, Svislotchsk, in charge of the workers at the glass factory, Octiabr, for failure to protect Miss Barshay, Jewish worker, from the indignities she suffered at the hands of her fellow workers. All those members of the Comsomel, Communist youth organization, who either actively or passively participated in the attack, will be excluded from the party. The committee also rebuked the Bobruisk newspaper for its tardy report of the incident.
Drastic measures against anti-Semitic practices are urged by the “Pravda,” in an editorial in which anti-Semitism is termed a counter-revolutionary weapon.
