Shawkat Ali, Indian Moslem leader who is now on his way to London to attend the Indian round table conference, will return to Palestine to spend some time after the conference in order to organize the work of the projected Moslem university in Jerusalem. The proposed Moslem University is part of the Pan-Islamic movement.
It was given renewed life with the burial in Jerusalem of Mohammed Ali, borther of Shawkat Ali. After his brother’s death, Shawkat Ali spent some time here with the Grand Mufti in outlining plans for the university which is on the agenda of the World Islamic Congress. The university would welcome Christian students from the Eastern countries.
