There is no restriction on Jewish ritual slaughter in Germany, the West German diplomatic mission to this country announced today in reply to a query from the Agudas Israel world executive. The mission added that German authorities expect no change in the situation.

After the Bonn mission’s statement was made, the Agudah issued a statement to the effect that this expression of the official German view had allayed concern felt in many Jewish quarters over the possibility of the West German Government limiting the right of shechita.
