Campaigns to sell “shekels” are under way in 600 major communities in this country, it was revealed here today by the U.S. Central Shekel Board. The national drive is entering its second week.
The board, consisting of representatives of all Zionist organizations and parties, hopes to sell at least 2,000,000 “shekels,” which entitle holders to vote for delegates to the next World Zionist Congress. The tokens are being sold by the Zionist Organization of America, Hadassah, Mizrachi Organization, Poale Zion, United Zionists-Revisionists, Hashomer Hatzair and the United Labor Zionist Party.
