Moshe Shertok, chief of the political department of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, today issued a statement denying that there is any disagreement among Zionist leaders on basic policy. He said that attempts to prove that such disagreements exist weaken Zionist efforts, and added that when newspapers attack Zionist leaders they are actually weakening the Zionist cause as a whole.

A two-day conference devoted to the Hebrew language opened in Tel Aviv today with leading professors of the Hebrew University in attendance. Prof. Umberto Cassuto demanded reforms in Hebrew spelling.
