A shipment of 10,000 tons of wheat valued at $860,000 will leave Canada this week en-route to Israel it was revealed here last night by the Canada-Israel Corporation.
Established several years ago by the Canadian Jewish Congress and the Zionist Organization of Canada to stimulate trade between Canada and Israel, the corporation has recently concluded an agreement with the Consortium of Banks which will provide further credit facilities for its purchase and shipment of commodities to Israel. At the corporation’s annual meeting held last week, Samuel Bronfman was re-elected president.
