Sholom Maximon, noted Hebrew writer and teacher, died here last night of pleurisy and pneumonia. He was 50 years of age.
Maximon was one of the pioneers of the Hebrew movement in America, and contributed many articles to Hebrew newspapers and magazines. In recent years he taught Hebrew at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.
In accordance with his expressed desire, his body will be shipped to Palestine for burial.
