The Israeli Army, no slave to fashion, has finally relented. As of today girl soldiers will be allowed to wear mini-skirts if they choose to. The new regulations say that the skirts may be five inches above the knees. Previously members of Israel’s women’s Army corps could wear skirts only one inch above the knees. Another new Army regulation permits girl soldiers to wear their hair long provided it is fastened with a clip of the same color as the hair.
