Sterilization of the Jewish population of Germany is recommended by the medical counsellor, Dr. Vellguth, writing in the journal of the Hartsmannbund, a physicians’ organization. He suggests sterilization for seven categories of people—feeble-minded, lunatics, epileptics, criminals, deaf and dumb mutes, tubercular and “foreign races”, in which category Vellguth includes Jews, Negroes and Mongols, who could be sterilized with impunity and regardless of whether they are healthy or defective.
In order to induce the “foreign race” elements to submit to sterilization, Vellguth recommends that the state offer them a special premium.
