A silent anti-Jewish boycott by municipal banking institutions in Austria was revealed here today, when a Jewish invalided war veteran, proprietor of a newspaper shop, suddenly noticed that his business was declining considerably because the neighboring municipal office and a nearby bank had suddenly discontinued all orders.
An organized effort through silence was thus revealed to induce the population to boycott Jewish trade. The Wiener Allgemeine Zeitung demanded vigorous intervention by the government in order to stop this discrimination against Austrian Jewish citizens.
