Following months of hearings, which he conducted into conditions prevailing among Jewish slaugh terers, Arthur Simon, confidential investigator for the Department of Health, yesterday morning personally delivered to Mayor LaGuardia a report of his findings. Another copy of the report was forwarded to Aldermanic President Bernard S. Deutsch.
The investigation grew out of complaints made by the Vaad Schochtem against the slaughterers’ union Local 440, A. F. of L.
