Sir Alfred Mond, returning from the Iraq was greeted on his second visit to Palestine by Jews and Arabs in an atmosphere of hospitality and cordiality, in contrast to the hostile reception he was recorded on his arrival in Bagdad.
Sir Alfred visited all the Jewish colonies in Upper Galilee where, he stated, he observed a remarkable expansion. At Bougiah, the Bedouin Sheiks of the Haleh region improvised a special reception in his honor.
At the Arab village adjoining the Jewish colony Rosh Pinah, the sheik of the village greeted Sir Alfred as a representative of the brother Jewish nation who, with the Arabs, work toward the common goal of a reconstructed Palestine.
