Sir Barnett Stross, a prominent Jewish physician and Parliamentary Secretary to the Health Ministry in the last Labor Government, died here today at the age of 67. Born in Poland, Sir Barnett came to England after the First World War. As a physician, Sir Barnett was often called on to attend emergency cases by his colleagues in Parliament. He did not seek reelection to Parliament at the last election because of his failing health. He was honored by the Czech Government because of his efforts in aiding in the rebuilding of the Czech town of Lidice which had been destroyed by the Nazis early in the Second World War.
