Sir Ernest Dowson will be the assistant of Sir John Simpson in the latter’s mission here to investigate land settlement and immigration, says the Arab paper, “Falastin,” in announcing that Sir Ernest has arrived and brought with him the Colonial Office’s order of his appointment.
Sir Ernest was in Palestine a number of years ago and prepared plans for a land survey according to which land settlement is now being carried out under Abramson. The “Falastin” expresses itself as pleased that Sir Ernest is to be Sir John’s assistant and is also pleased that the government’s agricultural commission will get into touch with Sir John Simpson and his aide.
