Sir John Chancellor, the retiring High Commissioner for Palestine, left Jerusalem this morning by special train for Haifa, where he will embark to-night on board ship for England.

Dr. Arlosoroff, the new head of the Palestine Zionist Executive, and Mr. Ben Zvi, the Palestine Labour leader, representing the Vaad Leumi, were among the big gathering assembled at the railway station to bid the retiring High Commissioner farewell. Both acted in their official capcities. A royal escort of nine aeroplanes accompanied Sir John’s train.
