At an open meeting yesterday of the Junior Sisterhood of Temple Ansche Chesed, 100th street and West End avenue, Selma Stark, lecturer on musical subjects, spoke on “Appreciation of Music.”
“The mind and the emotion are involved in the complete response to any form of art, and it is through the ear that the sense of sound and music is carried to the brain,” Miss Stark said. She discussed rhythm, tempo and melody, illustrating her points with phonographic recordings.
