With a symposium on “The Synagogue and Its Young People” on its agenda, the New England Federation of Temple Sisterhoods will convene for its annual conference next Tuesday morning at Temple Israel meeting house. Participating in the symposium will be Mrs. Edward Nathanson, Miss Elsie Wyzanski and Rabbi Beryl D. Cohon.
A paper on “A Basis for Jewish Life in the United States” will be read by the winner of the essay contest announced last spring.
Mrs. Beryl D. Cohon, president of the Federation, will preside. Mrs. A. L. Fishel, first president of the organization, will serve as hostess.
Delegates are expected from Brockton, Worcester and Providence as well as from Temples Ohabei Shalom and Israel of Boston.
