The site for the American-Israel Pavilion at the New York 1964-65 World’s Fair was dedicated here yesterday in the presence of New York Senator Kenneth Keating, World’s Fair President Robert Moses and other officials of the Fair and the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
In his address, Sen. Keating described the proposed Pavilion as a “gesture of good will towards Israel. ” He cited Israel as an example of a country which, by making judicious use of aid provided by Americans to develop her faculties and resources, can now contribute to newer nations seeking a higher standard of living.
Mr. Moses presented the officials of the American-Israel World’s Fair Corporation with official medallions of the exposition. A stone from the King Solomon Mines was given to Mr. Moses by Harold Caplin, chairman of the board of the American-Israel Corporation.
