Six national Jewish organizations represented on the Veterans Administration Service National Advisory Committee received citations for their services at ceremonies held here at which President Truman was guest of honor. Awards to the six organizations and to the other 34 on the committee were made by Carl R. Gray, Jr., Administrator of Veterans Affairs.
On the V.A.V.S. National Advisory Committee are the Women’s Organizations and Armed Services Division of the National Jewish Welfare Board, the B’nai B’rith and the B’nai B’rith Women’s Supreme Council, and the Jewish War Veterans and National Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans.
