Six Jewish teenagers suspected of throwing Molotov cocktails at two Arab-owned apartments were arrested.
One apartment was incinerated and the other was partially damaged in the Oct. 15 incident in Tel Aviv’s Hatikva neighborhood. No injuries were reported.
Police believe those arrested Monday, ranging in age from 17 to 19, were motivated by nationalism.
The incident is one of several recent Jew-on-Arab crimes in Israel since the recent race riots in Akko earlier this month.
On the night of Oct. 18, several scuffles broke out between Jewish and Arab youths throughout Jerusalem. Six Arabs were treated in local hospitals for light injuries. Three Jewish youths were arrested.
The Jerusalem Post also reported a group of fervently Orthodox Jews throwing rocks at an Arab truck driver employed by the Jerusalem municipality. He was treated at Hadassah Ein Karem hospital for light injuries. Police arrested one suspect.
