Six Nazis have recently been arrested in Germany in connection with a large-scale investigation of crimes committed at the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp, according to information received here today by the World Jewish Congress.
Chief District Attorney for Frankfurt-on-Main in a letter to Dr. Nehemiah Robinson, director of the World Jewish Congress’ Institute of Jewish Affairs in New York, appealed to the WJC to help trace former inmates, scattered all over the world, who could testify in the case. He said he is “conducting a comprehensive investigation of all crimes perpetrated at Auschwitz and subsidiary camps.”
