Six persons were slightly injured when a bomb exploded last night outside a building on what had been the dividing line between Israeli and Jordanian Jerusalem before the June, 1967 war. Six persons were arrested. One of the injured, a woman, was hospitalized for shock. The others were sent home after receiving first aid.
The blast shattered windows and light bulbs. Police immediately cordoned off all roads leading to East Jerusalem to prevent a recurrence of the riots that followed a series of grenade explosions in downtown Jerusalem ten days ago. There was, however, no attempt by any mobs to rush to East Jerusalem as was the case in the earlier incident. Police said the bomb consisted of three kilograms of TNT. Flying glass caused most of the injuries.
A military spokesman reported that Jordanian forces aimed small arms fire at Israeli positions in the Ashdot Yaacov area in the Beisan Valley today. Fire was returned In a brief exchange and no Israeli casualties were reported.
