Six youths were found guilty in Dorchester Municipal Court of assault and battery following the beating up of a 16-year-old Jewish boy by the gang. Judge William G. Lynch, denouncing the practice of youths coming into the Dorchester area “looking for fights with Jewish boys,” warned that the court was determined to put a stop to these assaults.
The oldest of the group aged 22, who drove the car in which the gang invaded the Dorchester area, was sentenced to three months in the house of correction with the understanding that his sentence would be suspended if he entered the armed forces. One other defendant was remanded to the Youth Service Board with sentence suspended for one year and the remaining four were fined $50 each.
