Sixteen charitable institutions may eventually receive the bulk of the estate of Arthur Bloch. whose will disposing of more than a quarter of a million dollars was filed for probate in the Surrogates’ Court, New York.

Mr. Bloch left his fortune to his widow. Beckie Florence Bloch, and a daughter. Mrs. Linda B. Hiller. When Mrs. Hiller dies the principal of the residuary trusts is to pass to her issue, or if there is none, to sixteen charities.

Fifteen of these organizations get $10,000 each and the balance goes to the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic societies of New York. The donations to charity are to be known as the Arthur Bloch Fund. Thirteen of the organizations getting $10,000 are in New York. while the American Red Cross at Washington and the Masonic Home and Hospital at Utica, N.Y., are also on the list.

Bequesis of $1,000 went to the Synagogue at Neuenkirchen, Germany, in memory of Mr. Bloch’s father and mother.

The thirteen local organizations who may get $10,000 each are the Mount Sinal Hospital. Monteffore Hospital, Lebanon Hospital Association, Hospital for Deformities and Joint Diseases, Hospital for consumptive Children, Home for Aged and Infirm Hebrew Guild for the Jewish Blind. Hebrew Orphan Asylum, Hebrew Sheltering Guardian Society, Educational Alliance, Visiting Nurses’ Service. Sairation Army any the Children’s Aid Society.
