The sixth conference of European rabbis is scheduled to open In Paris Dec. 9 with 120 delegates from Western and Eastern European countries attending as well as guests from the United States and Israel. The keynote speaker will be Rabbi M. J. Ushpizal of Israel. The conference, which will be concerned with the “challenge of Judaism in our days,” will also be addressed by Rabbi Zev Segal of Newark, N.J., president of the Rabbinical Council of America; Chief Rabbi Moses Rosen of Rumania; Dr. Immanuel Jakobovits, Chief Rabbi of the British Commonwealth; Chief Rabbi Jacob Kaplan of France, and Dr. Solomon Gaon of Britain, the Sephardle Chief Rabbi. Chief Rabbi Emeritus Israel Brodie of London will serve as chairman.
