At the signing of the U.S.-Israel oil agreement at the White House last Friday, Israel’s Energy Minister Yitzhak Modai credited its achievement to President Carter and Israeli Prime Minister “Ben Gurion.” His slip of the tongue drew chuckles but went uncorrected as Modai concentrated on the agreement’s importance. The agreement resulted from the leadership of President Carter and Premier Menachem Begin.
