Legal status is granted the Jewish communities of Slovakia in a decree of the Slovak National Council appearing in the Official Gazette.
The recently formed Association of Jewish Religious Communities is given supervision over the various communities and Bratislava Chief Rabbi Armun Frieder is empowered to deal with all problems affecting the association or the individual communities.
