Josef Gasparik, a former member of the Hlinka Guard, Slovak storm-troop organization, has been sentenced to death by a Peoples Tribunal here for persecuting and murdering Jews and partisens.
Gasparik, who attended a Gestapo school in Germany during the occupation, testified during his trial that he believed the concentration camps were run in “exemplary” fashion.
