A demand that a network of Nazi spies be set up in Slovakia to control business men who are allegedly disregarding the order restricting Jewish shopping to certain hours, is made in Grenshote, organ of the Slovak Germans, reaching here today.
The Grenzbote states that “Germans in Slovakia are outraged at seeing that the anti-Jewish regulations are not observed in practice.” It reports that in one day a correspondent observed no less than four “typical Jews” buying game in the early morning hours when only Aryans are allowed to shop.
“Business people, who in these times have the effrontery to reserve commodities for Jews must be told that the just contempt of the population will fell upon them,” the paper wrote. It suggests that steps be taken to see that “this ideological rabble” lose their business licenses, and that Aryan shoppers should report such storekeepers to the police.
