The Slovakian Minister of Interior Sano Mach, in an announcement from Bratislava broadcast over the German radio, today stated that “by the end of September there will not be a single Jew left in Slovakia.”
In his announcement, the Minister of the Nazi-puppet state declared that of the 90,000 Jews who were living in Slovakia before the present war 32,000 have already been “expatriated.” The number of Jews expelled from the country will reach 45,000 by the end of May, he added. He did not reveal to where the Jews were being deported.
