The Slovak Government has announced a new anti-Jewish decree, limiting participation of Jews in the various professions to 10 per cent, corresponding to the proportion of Jews in the Slovak population. The measure is to take effect before the end of 1941.

The decree further requires the “Aryanization” of certain enterprises now in the hands of Jews and establishes new and severe professional qualifications for Jewish artisans. It does not, however, affect big Jewish manufacturers.
