The Slovak Economic Office, between Feb. 1 and March 15, liquidated 4,100 Jewish enterprises with a total annual turnover of 200,000,000 crowns, it was reported from Bratislava today. The office has appointed 1,022 trustees for Jewish enterprises.
Work permits have been withdrawn from more than 3,000 Jewish employees, and the Economic Office is reported to be planning to introduce labor service and labor camps for Jews between the ages of 15 and 60, under military discipline. They would be used for flood regulation, water works and other projects where Slovak workers were insufficient.
