Severe anti-Jewish economic laws have been adopted by the Slovakian Parliament, it was reported here today. The laws, framed under Nazi pressure, include the following provisions:
(1) No trade or artisanship licenses may henceforth be issued to Jews; (2) Licenses already issued may be withdrawn; (3) Jews can be compelled by law to “Aryanize” their enterprises; (4) Establishment of a numerus clausus setting the proportion of Jews that can be employed in any commercial undertaking.
