Smugglers Aid Many Jews to Enter Palestine

Palestinian jails are overcrowded with Jewish suspects accused of having entered the country illegally, while agencies in Beirut, Syria, are undertaking the large-scale smuggling of Jews into Palestine, a survey made today indicated.

In Haifa, local magistrates today sentenced twenty-three Jews and three Russian Christians to serve two months in jail and to be deported at the end of their sentences. They were charged with having entered the country illegally.
