The estate of Moses J. Sneudaira, who died March 13, 1934, was appraised at the office of the state transfer tax department yesterday at $253,319 gross and $224,520 net, $16,500 of which was bequeathed to Jewish institutions.
The chief assets of the estate were mortgages, notes, cash and insurance valued at $150,439.
Mount Sinai Hospital will receive $10,000, the Young Men’s Hebrew Association $5,000, and the Congregation Rodeph Sholem, 7 West Eighty-third street, $1,600.
Ray Altman, a niece, of 50 Riverside drive, will receive $10,000 in cash, a life estate in $35,000 and a one-fifth interest in the residuary estate. Julia Frank, a sister, of 127 West Seventy-ninth street will receive a life estate in $25,000.
Alexander Rossner, a nephew, of 635 West 174th street, will receive a life estate in $10,000. Jesse Frank, a nephew, of Los Angeles, is to get the income from two-fifths of the residue of the estate and Henry Frank, a nephew, of 127 West Seventy-ninth street receives the remainder of the residue of the estate outright.
