The 110,000 Jews of South Africa contributed about $60,000,000 for Jewish relief and reconstruction abroad since the end of World War II– the largest per capita contribution by any Jewish community in the world–it was reported here yesterday by Abel Shaban, South African Jewish leader, addressing a HIAS meeting at the Hotel Pierre.
