The police are pressing an intensive investigation into Nazi espionage and propaganda activities in the Union of South Africa, newspapers reported here today. One of the biggest problems confronting the authorities is to track down fire arms and ammunition smuggled into South Africa by Nazi agents. Lewis guns and even heavier military equipment are being brought into the country, it was reported, by Nazi agents posing as manufacturers’ representatives.
