Soccer’s international federation rejected an attempt by Arab states to ban Israel from participating in international matches. Last Friday’s move by FIFA followed a recommendation from the governing body of European soccer to reject the Arab call, which was made because of outrage over Israeli actions in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian violence.
