The seventh Western Interstate Conference, which has been considering a variety of social problems since last Wednesday in a series of sessions at the Hotel Multnomah here, was concluded Friday.
“This Changing World in Social Service” was discussed by Mrs. Joseph K. Ferguson. Dr. Alexander Goldenweiser spoke on “Education-Today and Tomorrow.” Rabbi Edward Sandrow and Mrs. Maurice Goldman participated in a round table on religious tolerance. A round table on peace was conducted by Mrs. E.R. Sugarman and Mrs. Nathan Harris. Inter-faith fellowship talks were given by Dr. Raymond B. Walker, Rabbi H.J. Berkowitz and Father George F. Thompson, with comments by Mrs. Marion L. Mayers.
Governor Julius L. Meier of Oregon brought greetings.
