Your place is in the Hitlerist camp, Deputy Bork of the German National Party, shouted across to Deputy Wilke, one of the members of the Social Democratic Party, when the Prussion Parliament debated to-day a request received by it from the Law Court at Stettin to withdraw Deputy Wilke’s Parliamentary immunity so that action could be taken against him for having without any reason set upon a Jewish merchant named Hirschfeld in a public place, hitting him in the face and shouting that he was a Jewish lout and a well-fed Jew.
It is a terrible thing that a Social Democrat should have adopted the manners of the Hitlerists, the speakers of the Democratic Parties complained. Dr. Noschke, the spokesman of the Democratic Party, formally moved that the request of the Stettin Court should be granted, and Deputy Wilke’s immunity withdrawn. The motion will be put to the vote on Wednesday.
