Though Jewish candidates failed to capture major nominations in yesterday’s party primaries in this state, a number of them were selected for both state and local offices.
Bernard Gettelman, present Senator, easily recaptured the Republican nomination for State Senator in the Fifth Senatorial District.
Among other Jews selected as party nominees in Milwaukee were Robert Hess, candidate for District Attorney; Ben Rubin, for Assembly, Sixth District, and Peter Pikofsky, for Assembly, Fourteenth District, all on the Socialist ticket.
