Equal treatment for Israel in any arrangements that the European Economic Community may make with another Mediterranean country was urged on the ECC Council of Ministers today by Socialists attending European Parliament sessions in Strassbourg, France. The Council of Ministers is meeting here and was scheduled to discuss Israel’s application for association and preferential tariff arrangements today. The Socialists adopted a resolution warning of dangers to peace posed by the political and military situation in the Middle East. It called on the Council of Ministers not to conclude agreements with Tunisia and Morocco if an agreement was not concluded at the same time with Israel.
