Some 1200 Gadna paramilitary youth movement members will take part in a double race beginning June 10 from Sharm el-Sheikh to Jerusalem and from Mount Hermon to Jerusalem. The race is organized by the Jewish National Fund as part of Israel’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Many of the areas to be used by the racers have either been developed or are in the process of being developed by the JNF. The object of the race, said Jacob Tsur, JNF chairman, is to bring Israel’s youth to both developed regions and those awaiting development.
