Some 25,000 Dutchmen, including Queen Juliana, are among the regular contributors to the Jewish National Fund, the JNF reported. The Dutch Queen purchases annually JNF lottery tickets, a project approved by both the Israel and Dutch governments. Only 10 percent of the Dutch contributors are Jews, the JNF said. Many Dutchmen regard the conquest of the barren land as a project similar to that of drying the sea in The Netherlands. The JNF will shortly inaugurate a forest named after the Queen.
