Some 26,000 Palestinians will receive their holiday pay early to prepare for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. Israeli Cabinet minister Ehud Olmert said the pay, originally slated to be distributed in March 2004, is compensation for closures that prevent Palestinians from working in Israel.
