Some Israeli legislators criticized Education Minister Limor Livnat’s decision to revoke the Israel Prize that was to be given to artist Moshe Gershoni. Livnat said she took the step after Gershoni announced he would not attend the awards ceremony because he was not prepared to sit with the prime minister and president and shake their hands.
